Connecting WhatsApp
RocketLead connects the number a studio already uses in the WhatsApp Business app. The studio keeps writing in the app; RocketLead sends and receives through the same number alongside it. Meta calls this coexistence. Numbers that only exist on the WhatsApp Business Platform (no app) can’t be connected yet.
Only admins of an organization can connect, and only while the WhatsApp pilot is enabled for it.
Connecting
Section titled “Connecting”- Settings → WhatsApp → WhatsApp verbinden.
- Sign in with the Facebook account that manages the studio’s business, and pick the business and the number of the WhatsApp Business app.
- Confirm on the phone when the app asks, and decide whether to share the chat history.
When it finishes, the number is listed under Verbundene Nummern as Verbunden. If a step fails halfway, the page offers Fortsetzen instead of starting over.
What carries over
Section titled “What carries over”- Chat history of the last 180 days, if the studio agreed to share it during the connection. It appears in the inbox and on the matching requests.
- Messages written in the app after connecting appear in RocketLead too.
What doesn’t
Section titled “What doesn’t”- Group chats are not carried over.
- In the app, broadcast lists, disappearing messages and view-once are no longer available once the number is connected.
- Linked devices (WhatsApp Web, the desktop apps) may have to be linked again.
The 13-day rule
Section titled “The 13-day rule”WhatsApp disconnects a coexistence number when the WhatsApp Business app hasn’t been opened for about 14 days (a linked device: about 30 days). RocketLead then shows the number as Unterbrochen and tells admins (see Keeping the connection). Opening the app at least every 13 days prevents it.
What WhatsApp charges for
Section titled “What WhatsApp charges for”The studio pays WhatsApp directly, through a payment method in the WhatsApp Manager — not through RocketLead.
- Templates (messages outside the 24-hour window, and every automation message) are charged per message, by template category and the recipient’s country.
- Replies within 24 hours of the person’s last message are free.
- Messages written in the WhatsApp Business app stay free.
Without a payment method, WhatsApp refuses templates. RocketLead marks the number with Zahlungsmethode fehlt until a message is delivered again.
